FREE SHIPPING

I am excited to announce that beginning January, 2017, Streamlined Backshop offers FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $150 USD with the following exclusions and limitations:

1. A $1 Universal Handling Fee applies to all orders.  Effective 231101, the $1 Universal Handling Fee has been suspended until further notice.
2. The FREE SHIPPING option must be chosen by the BUYER during order checkout.  Use of this offer is not monitored except for exclusions and limitations and it WILL NOT BE APPLIED RETROACTIVELY.
3. Domestic shipping services are limited to USPS First Class or Priority Mail strictly at shippers discretion.  All international shipping options are excluded from this offer.
4. Maximum weight limit to qualify for free shipping is 4 pounds per order.  No credit or discount will be extended for large or overweight items or orders. 
5. Returned or out-of-stock merchandise shipped using the FREE SHIPPING offer will be assessed a restocking fee as stated in the Return Policy.
6. Shipping on decoder installations and all other custom services are excluded from this offer and shipping will be charged at regular market rates.
7. Good-deals DCC test tracks, Digitrax PS2012 Power Supplies, NCE Brutus Power Supplies, ESU ECoS Command Stations, and similar oversized and bulky items are specifically excluded due to size and weight.
Note: Oversized and bulky items typically have a fixed handling fee built in to the price structure.  For technical reasons, this fee and offer cannot be excluded from these items when shipped to international destinations and affects the shipping price calculations.  International shipments will be evaluated and the revised shipping cost will be invoiced upon approval.  The order will be cancelled and refunded if the charges are declined.

LEAD TIME

Normal lead time for most stock products is 1 week or less. Normal lead time for made-to-order products is usually 2 to 4 weeks. Normal lead time for decoder installations is 8 to 12 weeks. Depending on load, schedule, and complexity, lead time may be extended for up to 16 weeks or more. I will advise you of any further changes to this schedule upon receipt of order.


PRIOR SALE

I do not have a "brick-and-mortar" storefront. SBS4DCC.COM is my primary sales outlet. I attend shows and other sales periodically to further market my products. All items are subject to prior sale. It may take me an extra day or two to acknowledge your order if I am away. I will advise you of any issues that may affect prompt handling of your purchase upon receipt of order.


BACKORDERS

I strive to provide next day service on items I stock.  There may be instances when it is necessary to backorder certain items.  I will advise you if there will be a significant delay in delivery.  Additional shipping charges will apply for multiple shipments.  Please refer to the SBS4DCC No-Obligation Backorders page for additional information.


PAYMENT

Payment for retail products must be made in full via Cash, Check, Money Order, Credit Card or Pay-Pal at the time of purchase.  

I prefer payment for retail products marked as BACKORDER to be made in full via Cash, Check, Credit Card or Pay-Pal when the product is available to ship.  Please refer to the SBS4DCC No-Obligation Backorders page for additional information.

I prefer payment for Backshop Services to be made in full via Cash, Check, Credit Card or Pay-Pal upon successful completion of the project.  Some projects may require a deposit in advance.  Checks may delay shipping as much as 15 business days.  

Delivery of funds is the BUYERS responsibility.

The e-commerce site is protected by a verified SSL provided by BigCommerce Pty. Ltd.  All login, personal account, and financial transactions are protected by this license.


SALES TAX

All orders shipped to destinations in the State of Alabama are subject to state and local sales tax at the current rate defined by the Alabama Department of Revenue at the time payment is remitted.


SHIP TO ADDRESS AND LABEL DATA

Accuracy of the Ship To Address data is the buyers responsibility.  The shipping address data printed on the shipping label is passed directly from the order entry software to the postage and shipping software EXACTLY as entered at the time of order.  Please review the data for accuracy.  The only time this data is manipulated is if the order cannot be processed as a result of a formatting or validation error.


UNIQUE BILL TO - SHIP TO ADDRESS OPTIONS

All orders with unique Bill To - Ship To addresses will be screened and this process may delay the normal shipping schedule.  Please contact us to discuss any special needs you have with this matter.


SHIPPING ESTIMATES

Estimated shipping charges can be obtained by adding the desired item to a shopping cart, entering your ship to information, and then selecting the desired shipping method.


SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES

I do add a small fee to each order to help cover my overhead costs and packaging expenses. I too am shocked at the current prices for USPS and UPS services, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. I will continue to look for ways to keep this added cost to a minimum.


SHIPPING

I am able to offer shipping worldwide via USPS only. Please request and confirm special handling of your order prior to purchase. 

Changes to the requested shipping method may be required due to size, weight, or unavailability of the requested service.  I reserve the right choose and use alternate shipping methods at my discretion for any order regardless of the method requested on the order without notice.  Additional charges may apply and you will be contacted for payment information as required.

A tracking number is provided by the carrier and it is sent to the email address on the order automatically when the shipment is processed.  

Please note the transportation times for most shipments quoted on this site or the USPS website are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery times.  The only guaranteed service the USPS offers is Priority Mail Express.  


COMBINED SHIPPING

I will gladly combine purchases strictly AT MY DISCRETION to reduce shipping charges. If you plan to make multiple purchases and there will be a delay between orders, please let me know so that I can hold your shipment until the order is complete. 


INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

I will not ship oils, grease, paint, glue, aerosols or similar type items to international destinations.  They WILL NOT clear customs and your package will not make it to you safely.

The buyer is responsible for any customs fees, duties, or Value Added Taxes (VAT) assessed.  I am not, can not and will not be part of that process.  I can not and will not alter shipping documents to avoid these charges. 

Customs data is transferred directly from the order to the shipping label.  I do not, will not, can not edit or manipulate the customs information or merchandise values for any reason.  Please... do not ask me to do this.

I am happy to ship to many countries worldwide. Because of the obvious issues of time and space, I cannot be responsible for these shipments once they have been tendered to the USPS.

I will provide a copy of customs documents as proof-of-shipment upon request.

For shipments where the value exceeds $75 USD, I strongly recommend using USPS Priority Mail International or Express Mail International.  

Tracking information for all shipments is provided by USPS and is subject to accuracy of their system.  It is my experience that the tracking will not be updated once it has been transferred to US Customs and subsequent agencies outside the US.  I cannot provide updates or status beyond the information published on the USPS website.  If you are not comfortable with this reality, please do not make your purchase here.

The shipping address will be printed exactly as it shows on the order.  I do not edit, transfer or manipulate the address in any way.  I am not responsible errors in typing or format.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Most purchases ship within 24 to 48 hours from receipt of order, Sunday through Thursday.  The order cut-off time for next day shipping is typically 8 pm CST.

I try to ship daily however I may adjust this schedule as needed in an effort to minimize transportation and handling costs. Tracking is provided by the USPS on all shipments. You will receive a shipping confirmation by email when your order has been processed that includes the tracking number.

Please let me know if you need expedited handling. I may be able to help, if I know... This schedule is subject to change at any time without notice.

Please expect a 24-48 hour delay from the time the order is processed until it is tendered to the post office.  This is normal handling time. Additionally, sometimes a package gets delayed in the USPS system.  A five or ten day delay does not mean a package is lost.  Be patient.  I ship thousands of packages annually and their performance is very good.  Be patient.

PLEASE... do not email me if the tracking hasn't updated in the last 10 minutes.  Seriously.


INSURANCE

I cannot be responsible for lost or damaged shipments. USPS includes $50 insurance and UPS includes $100 insurance with each shipment. Additional shipping insurance is the buyers responsibility. I am more than happy to arrange for it at time of shipment I just don't pay for it. Please include extra monies and instructions as required with your payment. Please contact the shipper ...not the seller... immediately to report any damage from shipping and to file a claim accordingly. I cannot file any claims on your behalf but will assist you with proof of shipment as required.


CANCELLATIONS AND CANCELLATION FEES

I reserve the right to determine if an order may be cancelled. A minimum 10% cancellation fee will apply. Additional fees WILL be charged based on expenses incurred at the time of cancellation request. Please make all requests for cancellation in writing and I will respond to your request as quickly as possible.


DELIVERY ISSUES

Unfortunately there are occasions where a package is damaged, lost or delivered to a wrong address.  It is essential that the BUYER contact their LOCAL Post Office immediately to report the issue.  This is a local matter.  I do have some resources and options I can exercise to help but it is essential for the recipient to deal directly with the local Post Office to resolve the matter.

Most items are supplied with a manufactures warranty that applies to that item specifically.  Please refer to the manufacturers website for information about their specific policies.
