Delayed Shipping Notice - Inclement Weather
DELAYED SHIPPING NOTICE
Update Posted January 20, 2024
The local Post Office reopened unexpectedly January 19, 2024. All pending shipments have been tender to the USPS and are now enroute to you!
Posted January 18, 2024
Please note that all orders received after 12 pm, January 12, 2024 are delayed in shipping due to the extreme weather conditions affecting North Alabama.
The offices of the United States Post Service were scheduled to be closed on January 15, 2024 in observance of the Martin Luther King holiday. North Alabama was hit with a severe ice storm on this date that resulted in closure of all roads and businesses in the region as well as a State of Emergency Proclamation by Governor Kay Ivey.
All local post offices have remained closed with no drop-off, pick-up or delivery services in the area on January, 16, 17, or 18 due to the extremely dangerous conditions. This round of inclement weather has affected many other parts of the nation in a similar manner.
Based on the current weather forecast, I do not expect the USPS to be open on January 19 or 20, 2024. Based on the same forecast, I do expect the situation to clear up and services to return to normal on or about Monday, January 22, 2024.
If you have received a tracking number by email, your order has been successfully processed and will be tendered to the USPS for shipping at the first possible opportunity.
Please note your tracking number will show the status Pre-Shipment as shown here. That status will not change until I am physically able to tender the package to the USPS.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
