ZIMO MSTAPG DCC Decoder Test and Connector Board - Large Scale


The ZIMO MSTAPG Decoder Test and Connector Boards are the perfect accessory for use with the MXULFA, MX10, and other ZIMO products for updating the decoder software, downloading sound projects and testing all types of decoders.  

Most features of the ZIMO MSTAPG can be used with older ZIMO digital systems and other third-party systems and products as well.

The features of these Test Boards include:

• Large scale (ZIMO proprietary) decoder interface for models MS950, MS955, MS990L
• The terminal strip is available for decoders with screw terminals or wired decoders of all kinds.
• Version MSTAPK for small scales also available for all types of connection
• Connection to MXULFA or ZIMO command station, or other digital command centers via two position screw terminal block to "TRACK" connection
• Optional "SUSI" cable included if necessary

The following equipment are provided on the board for decoder testing:

• DC motor
• Test speaker (2x 1 Watt)
• LEDs for 15 function outputs
• LEDs for 2 fan outputs (large scale decoders)
• Servo terminals (large scale decoders) 
• Wire connections to external loads

MSTAPK (or MSTAPG) is connected output of the MXULFA, ZIMO MX10 or other DCC command station via a two position screw terminal block. There is no additional supply needed.

The "SUSI" ports of MXULFA or MX10 and MSTAPG can be connected to dramaticaly increase the speed of loading sound files as compared to using the standard "TRACK" connection.  "SUSI" is automatically connected to the "SUSI" interface of MSTAPG for ZIMO large scale decoders .

The "SUSI" connection for the boards are configured in parallel by using the two "SUSI" plugs to create a daisy chain allowing a user to simultaneously load sound files on multiple decoders.  Each decoder must be connected to its own Decoder Test and Connector Board (MSTAPG).
